LOCATION CHANGE: Shank Painter Road Improvement Project Design Public Hearing
Tuesday, June 13, 2023
LOCATION CHANGE: Please note that the location for this meeting has been moved to the Veteran's Memorial Community Center (VMCC) located at 2 Mayflower St. in Provincetown.
The purpose of this hearing is to provide the public with the opportunity to become fully acquainted with the proposed Corridor Improvements and Related Work on Shank Painter Road from Route 6 to Bradford Street and along Route 6 to the Herring Pond Beach National Park Project. All views and comments submitted in response to the hearing will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible.
The proposed project consists of constructing pedestrian and bicycle facilities, and rehabilitating pavement and utilities to promote healthy transportation and economic redevelopment along the roadway. Shank Painter Road in Provincetown is utilized by a high volume of pedestrians and cyclists despite having no infrastructure accommodation. In addition, the impaired roadway provides access to destinations from Route 6 such as town services and parking.
Project inquiries, written statements and other exhibits regarding the proposed undertaking may be submitted to Carrie E. Lavallee, P.E., Chief Engineer, via e-mail to MassDOTProjectManagement@dot.state.ma.us or via US Mail to Suite 7550, 10 Park Plaza, Boston, MA 02116, Attention: Project Management, Project File No.608744. Statements and exhibits intended for inclusion in the public hearing transcript must be emailed or postmarked no later than ten (10) business days (14 calendar days) after the hearing is hosted on the MassDOT website listed below.
