Mission & Authority
Our highest Town priority is housing, and we have an explicit town-wide goal of supporting and creating year-round housing. We should be focused on identifying ways in which the Town can help preserve and increase the supply of year-round housing - be it through the examination of potential bylaws, policy changes, zoning, etc., and not solely looking at regulations on short-term rentals.
The Housing Advisory Group will engage in thoughtful, meaningful, and inclusive community engagement activities throughout their work. This will include direct outreach to residents, surveys related to housing, community listening sessions, and more to ensure all views are being heard and all people (year-round residents, part-time residents, seasonal workers, and more) are being represented.
