CCRTA

The Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) provides public transportation to and from Provincetown to service our residents, workers, and visitors. Below is more information about the services they provide.

*NEW* Expanded CCRTA Early Morning & Late-Night Service to/from Provincetown

The Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) will be launching expanded early morning and late-night service to the Town of Provincetown. This is aimed at providing additional transportation options for Provincetown workers during the town’s expanded shoulder season and throughout the summer and will also provide additional opportunities for residents and visitors to use CCRTA’s service.

Beginning May 5, CCRTA will be offering expanded Friday, Saturday, and Sunday service with the first drop off in Provincetown by 5:24 a.m. and last trip out of Provincetown at 1:36 a.m. through May 21.

Beginning May 22, CCRTA will be offering expanded Monday through Sunday (7 days per week) service with the first drop off in Provincetown by 5:24 a.m. and last trip out of Provincetown at 1:36 a.m. each day through June 23.

Similar expanded service is being offered throughout the summer and into October as well. More information will be available on the CCRTA’s website at https://capecodrta.org/

CCRTA Flex Bus

The Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) provides daily bus service, Monday through Saturday, beginning at 7am and running through 7:15pm from Stop & Shop in Provincetown to Star Market in Harwich and from 7:30am through 7:45pm from Star Market in Harwich to Stop & Shop in Provincetown.

The Flex bus picks up and drops off passengers at designated stops and also flexes off its route up to ¾ of a mile to serve people who have difficulty getting to a regular bus stop. Reservations are required for the off-route stops.

The Flex bus travels from Route 28 in Harwich, Over Queen Anne to Route 137, to Brewster on Route 6A, down Route 6 through the towns of Orleans, Eastham, Wellfleet, and Truro to Provincetown. Passengers may board the Flex at any of the scheduled bus stops or they may flag the bus down anywhere along the bus route except along Route 6.

The Flex bus connects with the H2O Line at Stop & Shop Orleans, Skaket Corners Orleans, Underground Plaza Orleans and Star Market in Harwich, and in the summer the Provincetown/North Truro Shuttle at Highland Road, Truro and Stop & Shop.

Flex also connects with the Plymouth & Brockton bus service to Boston; at CVS Orleans, Eastham Town Hall, Farrell’s Market, Wellfleet, Jam’s Store, Truro, Highland Road @ 6A Truro, and MacMillan Pier, Provincetown.


CCRTA Provincetown Shuttle (seasonal)

Memorial Day - Columbus Day. Wheelchair accessible.

The Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) provides a shuttle service that operates (shoulder season) hourly Monday through Thursday, beginning at 7:15am to 8:15pm, and 30-minute service from 7:15am to 12:15am; Friday and Saturday beginning at 7am to 12:45am. In the summer season, 20 minute service seven days a week, beginning at 7am to 12:45am, from the Memorial Day weekend in May through the last weekend in September, including holidays.

The Shuttle travels to and from MacMillan Pier, down Bradford Street to the First Pilgrim Park and Herring Cove Beach, to Shankpainter Road, to Conwell Road, to Race Point Road, to the Province Land Visitors Center, to the Race Point Beach and the Airport.

The shuttle also provides service from MacMillan Pier, down Bradford Street to Route 6A (North Truro) to Beach Point, Salty Market, to North Truro and Horton’s Campgrounds.

Passengers may board the Shuttle at any of the scheduled bus stops or they may flag the bus down anywhere along the bus route.

In the summer the Provincetown/North Truro Shuttle connects with the Flex at MacMillan Pier and Highland Road, Truro.

Plymouth & Brockton (P&B) Bus

Effective April 22, 2023, P&B will provide daily bus service from Hyannis, Boston, and Logan Airport to Provincetown and the Outer Cape. This service features stops at/in Logan Airport, South Station, Sagamore, Barnstable, Hyannis, Cape Cod Hospital, Harwich, Orleans, Eastham, North Eastham, South Wellfleet, Wellfleet, Truro Center, Truro, and Provincetown.
