Provincetown was the only town on Cape Cod to see a decrease
in the number of year-round housing units between 1990 and 2000, according
to figures from the U.S. Census.
Provincetown lost 324 year-round housing units -- a 13.6%
decrease.
While the U.S. Census does not list a category of "year-round
housing units," the Commonwealth of Massachusetts uses the following
formula to calculate a community's year-round housing stock.
