Inventory of
Provincetown Sewer District Properties

All the properties which are slated for connection to the municipal sewer system as soon as the system is built, are listed in one of the first four tables. Properties in each table are listed by map number, but also show property owner, street address, and design flow information.

Table 1. Blue --These properties are all mandated to connect to the municipal sewer system as soon as it is built. On the final Town sewer district maps, these properties should all have a dark blue dot, indicating a mandatory connection -- for any of a variety of reasons such as a high water table, or for failure of the property's existing system.

Table 2. Green -- These properties are all located inside the present sewer district, and their owners (or trustees) have voluntarily agreed to connect to the municipal sewer system, as soon as it is available. Green properties are generally large enough that a new Title V system could be built on site, if the owner had decided not to connect to the municipal sewer system.

Table 3. Yellow -- These properties are all located inside the present sewer district, and their owners (or trustees) have voluntarily agreed to connect to the municipal sewer system, as soon as it is available. Yellow properties generally do not have enough room for a typical new Title V system to be built on site. Owners of these properties would have to build an innovative system if their existing systems failed, unless these owners had formally consented by February 1, 2001 to connect to the municipal sewer system.

Table 4. Red -- For a range of compliance and other issues, owners of red properties are required to connect to the municipal system. Unlike other property owners, they have the option to connect as soon as the municipal sewer system is constructed, or upon failure of their present systems. All property owners in this category have chosen to connect to the Town sewer as soon as it is constructed.

Table 5. Red Delay -- Owners of properties on this red delay list will connect their properties to the municipal sewer system as soon as their existing systems fail.
