Overhanging Tree Limbs, Bushes and Hedges

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATLY - The Highway Department will be patrolling Town Roadways looking for overhanging tree limbs, intrusion of bushes and hedges into or over public ways that can interfere with SAFETY, PARKING AND TRAFFIC FLOW. DPW employees will be looking for tree limbs hanging lower than ten feet that could damage larger vehicles, such as, DPW Trucks, Fire Trucks, Ambulances. They will also be looking for bushes and hedges that protrude into the roadway, which could potentially cause traffic or pedestrian accidents. Any resident who prefers to do their own work and not have DPW employees perform the trimming and cutting please have it completed before July 20, 2009.
