2008 Annual Spring Traffic Hearing Results

The Provincetown Board of Selectmen conducted the 2008 Annual Spring Traffic Hearing on Tuesday, March 18, 2007 and approved the following parking and traffic proposals:

 

 

1.  Citizen Proposals

a.   Amend to read: ”One parking space at the corner of Commercial and Ryder Street  be reserved for Postal and Municipal vehicles only between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm from November 1 to April 1”.

b.   Install “Compact Vehicles Only” sign at first metered space on the corner of Ryder and Commercial.

c.   Make all of West Franklin Street a “No Parking” Zone and post signage accordingly.

e.   Post and enforce a speed limit of 15 mph on Nelson Avenue.   

 

3.  Parking Department Proposals

a.   Offer $50 Weekly Permit to fishermen to use the West End Parking Lot.

b.   Amend to read: “ …defacing, altering, or switching permits to another car to cause revocation of permit and render offender ineligible for a replacement permit for that year.”
