2006 Annual Spring Traffic Hearing Results

The Provincetown Board of Selectmen conducted the 2006 Annual Spring Traffic Hearing on Tuesday, March 21, 2006 and approved the following parking and traffic proposals:

 

#1  Citizens Proposals.

1.      To paint “Tow Zone No Parking” on Upper Pearl Street

2.      To move the No Parking Sign on Howland Street closer to the Patrick’s driveway.

 

#2 Town Department Proposals

1.      To add Center Street and Johnson Street to the list of snow removal streets.

 

#3 Parking Department Proposals

1.   To lease 10 (ten) spaces at the Jerome Smith Parking Lot for boats, trailers or other

large vehicles aside from campers for $250 per season.

2.      To move the handicap space located at Winthrop Street by 5 feet to the East on Commercial Street.

3.      To add a Grace Hall Only weekly parking permit at the fee of $100.

4.      To change the MPL hourly rate from $2.25 to $2.50 per hour.

5.      To change the Grace Hall hourly rate from $1.75 to $2.00 per hour.

6.      To charge vehicles with handicapped placards the regular rate at the MPL.

7.      To charge vehicles with handicapped placards the regular rate at the Grace Hall lot.

8.      To change the fines for parking violations as follows:

1.     Obstruct Gate or Driveway from $25 to $50

2.     Obstruct Crosswalk from $25 to $50

3.     20 Feet from corner from $25 to $50

4.     Obstructing Public Transportation from $25 to $50

5.     Fire Lane from $25 to $50

6.     Private Property Handicap Parking from $50 to $100

7.     Blocking Handicap Unloading Area from $50 to $100

8.     Obstructing Fire Hydrant from $50 to $100

9.     Handicap Parking Violation from $100 to $300
