2005 Annual Spring Traffic Hearing Results

The Provincetown Board of Selectmen conducted the 2005 Annual Spring Traffic Hearing on Monday, March 28, 2005 and approved the following parking and traffic proposals:

 

1.      To close Commercial Street to all parking beginning three hours before the July 4th and Carnival Parades.

2.      To designate parking on Center Street along the length of the Provincetown Library property line to include a loading zone, one handicapped space, and five one hour time-restricted spaces between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

3.      To create a handicapped parking space at 460 Commercial Street until December 31, 2005.

4.      To relocate the loading zone located at 170 Commercial Street to a location in the vicinity of 164/166 Commercial Street, at the discretion of the DPW Deputy Director. (Amended by Selectmen on 6/13/05 - see attached notice)

5.      To change the sign on the corner of Commercial Street and Central Street to read: “No Campers, Trucks or Buses allowed down Central Street”
