Seasonal Workforce Survey: Members of the Provincetown business community are concerned that our valued and needed H2B and J1 workforce may not be available or may be available in fewer numbers in 2008 than in previous years. In order to get as accurate as possible an estimate of the potential size of the labor shortfall, the Board of Selectmen asked town businesses to list the number of full time and part-time H2B and J1 employees they anticipate needing to hire in 2008. No Place for Hate Committee Survey: The No Place for Hate Committee is working on obtaining certification that Provincetown as a No Place for Hate Community by participating in a program developed by the Anti-Defamation League. Provincetown Citizen's Emergency Preparedness Working Group Formed: The goal of the working group is to develop and implement effective comprehensive response plans to address human and/or natural threats to the public health and safety of the Provincetown community. Community Housing Report. The Selectmen held a public hearing on the annual community housing report on Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at 6 p.m. Community Preservation By-law approved for 80% for Housing. The Provincetown and Truro Boards of Selectmen have approved a four-year extension to the intermunicipal water agreement, providing that Provincetown may acquire North Union Field in Truro to facilitate its development as a redundant water supply source, and establishing a joint advisory Pamet Lens Oversight Group. Historic District Commission. The Attorney General has approved several by-law amendments passed by the April 7, 2003 Annual Town Meeting, including the Historic District. The regulatory duties of the Historical Commission are now transferred to the new HDC.

Trash Regulations. The Board of Health has adopted new Regulations for Trash Pick up and the Transfer Station, effective 01/23/03.
