TOWN OF PROVINCETOWN — WATER & SEWER BOARD

 

MEETING — WEDNESDAY APRIL 28, 2004

 

GRACE GOUVEIA BUILDING, 26 ALDEN STREET, PROVINCETOWN

 

Chair Jon Sinaiko called the meeting to order at 11:50 a.m. noting the following attendees:

 

Members present: Anne Lord, Jonathan Sinaiko, Sacha Richter

 

Members absent: John Ciluzzi (unexcused), Terry Siegal (unexcused)

 

Other attendees:

DPW Director David Guertin; Environmental Partners Group Staff Wayne Perry, Joy Ursillo; Health Agent Jane Raasch; members of the public.

 

Public Statements

T. Gandolfo requested to be on the agenda for the next meeting regarding his properties at 361 and 361 A-C Commercial St.

 

Review revised Water and Sewer Regulations

Jane Raasch presented proposed changes to the Sewer Rules and Regulations that focus primarily on fats, oils, and grease (FOG) and requirements for food service operators to achieve compliance.  Discussion ensued.  Mr. Richter moved, seconded by Mr. Sinaiko, to approve the proposed changes and to schedule a future public hearing.  The motion carried 3-0.

 

Sewer transitional rates

Mr. Richter moved, seconded by Ms. Lord, to approve the sewer transitional rate of $18.50 per thousand gallons.  The motion carried 3-0.

 

Review Laundromat survey responses

Mr. Guertin indicated that 315 responses to the Laundromat survey were received.  Discussion ensued; no motions made. 

 

 

Adjournment

There being no other business to come before the board, Mr. Sinaiko moved, seconded by Mr. Richter, to adjourn the meeting.  The motion carried 3-0, and the meeting was adjourned.
