TOWN OF PROVINCETOWN — WATER & SEWER BOARD

 

MEETING — THURSDAY APRIL 8, 2004

 

GRACE GOUVEIA BUILDING, 26 ALDEN STREET, PROVINCETOWN

 

Chairman Sinaiko called the meeting to order at 9:24 a.m. noting the following attendees:

 

Members present:

Anne Lord, Jonathan Sinaiko, Sacha Richter

 

Members absent:

John Ciluzzi (unexcused), Terry Siegal (unexcused)

 

Other attendees:

DPW Staff Ron Gamella, Ryk Tyszka; Environmental Partners Group Staff Wayne Perry, Joy Ursillo; members of the public.

 

Public Statements

500% Policy

There was a discussion regarding the leak abatement policy and thresholds. No action taken.

 

Complaint re lights at treatment plant

Mr. Sinaiko related a complaint about the lights at the plant being too bright.  Mr. Perry recounted that in the DRI the Cape Cod Commission required that the lights be changed to a lower type, and they were. No further action.

 

Laundromat survey

There was a brief discussion of results so far for the survey.  No action taken.

 

Grease traps

There was a brief discussion of grease traps.  Only one party has not installed the grease traps that were agreed last year. 

 

Adjournment

There being no other business to come before the board, Mr. Sinaiko moved, seconded by Mr. Richter, to adjourn the meeting.  The motion carried 3-0, and the meeting was adjourned at 10:25 a.m.
