TOWN OF PROVINCETOWN — WATER & SEWER BOARD

 

MEETING — THURSDAY  FEBRUARY 19, 2004

 

GRACE GOUVEIA BUILDING, 26 ALDEN STREET, PROVINCETOWN

 

Chairman Sinaiko called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. noting the following attendees:

 

Members present:

Anne Lord, Jonathan Sinaiko, Sacha Richter

 

Members absent:

John Ciluzzi (unexcused), Terry Siegal (unexcused)

 

Other attendees:

DPW Deputy Director Sandra Turner; Deputy Water Superintendent Albert Robinson; DPW Staff Ron Gamella; Environmental Partners Group Staff Wayne Perry; members of the public.

 

Public Statements

Filings to set the tax rate

The board executed documents for the accountant certifying water rates.

 

Town Meeting matters

Mr. Richter moved, seconded by Ms. Lord, to submit the following warrant article for Town Meeting: To see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from the Wastewater Enterprise Fund the sum of $20,000 to initiate and, pending approval of the state DEP, fund a study and pilot program for the disposal of septage at the Provincetown sewage treatment plant supervised by the Sewer Team with Woodard & Curran.  The motion carried 3-0.

 

Mr. Sinaiko moved, seconded by Ms. Lord, to get on the agenda of the Board of Selectment to discuss water use.  The motion carried 3-0.

 

Adjournment

There being no other business to come before the board, Mr. Richter moved, seconded by Mr. Sinaiko, to adjourn the meeting.  The motion carried 3-0, and the meeting was adjourned at 5:25 p.m.
