Provincetown Water and Sewer Board            

Minutes of May 27, 2002

 

                               5:00 p.m.

 

 

 

 

The Provincetown Water and Sewer Board was called to order by acting Chairman Jonathan Sinaiko.  Present were: Board members, Anne Lord, Terry Siegel, Sacha Richter, Also in attendance were D.P.W. Director Dave Guerton, Administrative assistant, Kathy Meads, and Chairman of Truro Board of Health, Gary Palmer, Wayne Perry, representing Environmental Partners, and Jim Sullivan and Steve Johnson, representing Metcalf and Eddy, and Banner reporter Mary Anne Bragg.

 

Business discussed were two water hook ups for Truro MA.  Anne Lord makes a motion to accept them, Sacha Richter seconds the motion and the vote is 4-0.

Business discussed was the review and approval of the minutes of May 20, 2002.  Anne Lord makes the motion to accept them, Jonathan seconds the motion, and the vote is 3 for it and 1 abstention.

 

Steve Johnson, Jim Sullivan, and Wayne Perry made a report as to how things are moving along with the sewer project.  They have reported that they have visited 360 properties so far and things are running smoothly.  A draft letter has been produced by them that they would like to have our approval on so that they can present it to the selectmen the following Tuesday.  The draft letter intends to explain to the homeowner that intends to hook up to the sewer, how the hook up will be configured on their property.  Jonathan Sinaiko makes the motion that we accept the draft letter, Anne Lord seconds the motion, and the vote is 4-0.

 

Jonathan Sinaiko makes a motion for a formal recognition of Chris Turcotte for his response to water leak on Shank Painter Rd.  Sacha Richter seconds it and the vote is 4-0.

 

The motion to adjourn was brought up by Jonathan Sinaiko, seconded by Anne Lord and the vote was 5-0. 

 

The meeting ended at 6:40 p.m.
