Chairman Lynne Davies convened the meeting at 10:00 AM noting the following attendees:

WATERFRONT PARK SITE INSPECTION

The group convened at MacMillian Pier for a site inspection of the Waterfront Park area and to discuss proposed improvements and design options.

WATERFRONT PARK INITIATIVE

Lynne Davies led the discussion with Rex McKinsey responding to questions raised and identifying the planned improvements on the courtesy dock as well as the needs of the fisherman and boaters who use the dock.

The group identified the following items for follow-up:

Obtain actual boundaries of the waterfront park area;
Obtain actual access requirements of the courtesy dock;
Engage and seek input from fisherman and boaters who utilize the existing courtesy pier;
Determine area dedicated for loading and off-loading at the courtesy dock;
Research historic photos of the waterfront area to incorporate into the design; and
Obtain “as built” drawings of the existing parking lot to determine if a reconfiguration could yield more spaces or provide additional open space land.
