Judge Welsh Meeting Room

Chairman Lynne Davies convened the meeting at 2:15 PM noting the following attendees:

VSB members: Lynne Davies, Chairman; Peter Bez, Vice Chairman; Kathleen Fitzgerald; Laurel Guadazno; Michael Peregon; and Hersh Schwartz (who arrived at 2:55 PM).

Absent VSB members (excused absence): Mick Rudd.

Other attendees: Bill Schneider, Administrative Director of Tourism.

Fourth of July Fireworks Funding: Chairman Davies addressed Article 12 of the Special Town Meeting and Article 30 of the Annual Town Meeting, both of which she believes will be indefinitely postponed because enough money has been received from private contributions and donations to the Fireworks Fund.

MOTION: To allocate $3,000 from the FY07 Marketing Budget to help pay for the 4^th of July fireworks display.

Chairman Davies addressed her meeting with the Finance Committee on Friday, March 24^th. Since the VSB met with the Board of Selectmen on February 27^th to discuss the proposed five-year plan, the amount of funds allocated within the approved budget have changed. The Chair proposed an amendment to Article 31 that reflected the actual line items for the municipal budget.

A discussion ensued regarding the municipal budget.

Ms. Schwartz arrived at 2:55 PM.

Vice Chairman Bez requested the Administrative Director of Tourism request the assistance of grant administrator in exploring potential grants to help fund the Historic Walking Trail.

The meeting adjourned at 3:05 PM.
