Chairman Steve Melamed opened the meeting at 9:05 AM noting the following attendees:

 

VSB members: Peter Bez; Lynne Davies, Vice Chairman; Ellen Freeman; Laurel Guadazno; Steve Melamed, Chairman; Mick Rudd and Barbara Rushmore.

The following are meeting minutes, in brief. 

 

Mr. Melamed noted Patricia Fitzpatrick was not present as she is attending the American Bus Association conference in Chicago.

 

Laurel Guadazno was introduced by the Chairman as the newest member of the VSB.

 

MOTION:  Move that the minutes of the VSB meeting on January 11, 2005 be approved.

The Chairman requested the VSB meet next on Monday, February 14, 2005 at 10AM to continue discussions from the January 11, 200 meeting.

 

Ellen Freeman renewed her request to be provided information from the Tourism Director regarding publications.

 

The request for additional funding of the grant application previously submitted by the Provincetown International Film Festival was addressed.  Gabrielle Hanna, Executive Director of the PIFF requested the Board grant an additional $10,000 of funding to supplement loss of unforeseen revenues sustained by the organization for advertising and marketing.

 

MOTION:  Move that the VSB grant the Provincetown International Film Festival Board an additional $10,000 from FY 2005 promotional grant budget.

New grant applications were discussed by the VSB.

 

MOTION:  Move that the VSB grant the Women’s Innkeepers of Provincetown  $6,000 for Single Women’s Weekend from FY 2005 promotional grant budget.

The Chairman requested the Women’s Innkeepers of Provincetown prepare a letter to keep events for Single Women’s Weekend open for all people to attend.

 

MOTION:  Move that the VSB grant the International Women’s Flag Football Association $7,518 for the Third Annual Kate Clinton event from FY 2006 promotional grant budget.
