from October 12th, 1999

Provincetown, MA 02657.
Meeting called to order at 4:45 p.m. on
October 12th at the Harbormaster’s office, McMillan Pier. Exofficiaos Dave
Dittachio and Tony Jackett were present. Members Frank Foley, Michael Anderson
and Sarah Robin were present. Dan Nataro was not present but he did inform the
board that he would not be able to attend. Member Bob White was not present and
did not inform the board that he would not be able to attend.
Correspondence
List of grantee’s that are delinquent.
Old Business
Request was made to have Stephan Nofield,
town clerk, attend the next meeting to assist us in rewriting and updating the
regulations.
New Business
Motion was made by Frank and seconded by
Michael to accept the minutes as read. Motion carried unanimously.
Committee decided that year 2000 grant holders will be required to
show a copy of possession only permit.
Michael made a motion that a memo
stating that grant holders provided
photocopy of propagation license (possession only license) should be
submitted with yearly grant fee. Motion was seconded by Sarah.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion was made by Michael on Frank and Tony
suggestion that 10 new signs that read
“ No shellfishing violators will be prosecuted” should be placed on the grants.
Motion was seconded by Sarah. Motion carried unanimously.
Frank made motion to adjourn meeting at 5:45
p.m. Motion was seconded by Sarah. Motion carried unanimously.
Topics of Discussion
Suggestion was made to discuss daily and
weekly permits for collecting mussels.
Suggestion was made to deputize grant holders
so that could help enforce the shellfish regulations out on the grants.
Tony suggested calling and reminding
committee members about monthly meeting.
Suggestion was made to hold to consecutive
meeting in November (November 2nd and November 9th) to
discuss and rewrite shellfish regulations.
