January 26th Meeting of Provincetown
Shellfish Committee

Minutes
from January 26th, 1999 shellfish committee meeting held in the
Provincetown town hall. Meeting
commenced at 5:45 p.m. Committee
members Bob White, Sarah Robin, and Dan Notaro were present as well as
exofficiaos Dave Ditacchio and Tony Jacket.
A
general discussion of performance standards was held. It was decided that the committee members would read over the old
regulations and make suggestions as to ways to insure that grantees would be
made to feel more responsible for their grants.
It
was also suggested that shellfish records, such as catch reports, maps and
other information be compiled and centrally located so that they were easier
for people to obtain.
The
next order of business was the nomination of Committee Officers. The position of Chairperson and
Secretary/Clerk both needed to be filled. Frank Foley was nominated for the
position of Chairperson. Motion was
made and carried. Sarah Robin was
nominated to the position of Secretary/Clerk. This motion was also seconded and
carried.
At
this point in the meeting the committee decided to change the time and location
of meetings from 5:30 p.m. in the town hall to 4:15 p.m. at the Harbormasters
Office on the wharf. The meeting would
still be held on the 1st Tuesday of the month. This motion was made
and carried.
At
6:30 p.m., a motion was made to adjourn the meeting. This motion was seconded and carried.
