Minutes from February 1st, 2000

Meeting called to order at 4:40 p.m. on February 1st at the Harbormaster’s office, Macmillan Pier. Exofficiaos David Dittachio and Tony Jackett were present. Members Frank Foley, Michael Anderson, Dan Notaro and Sarah Robin were present. Rex McKenszie was also present

 

Correspondence   

·       None

 

Old Business

·       Frank presented an outline of grant that he and Polly Herrick will submit in February to SEMAC.

·       Sarah Robin and Tony Jackett also gave a short presentation of a grant that they will submit to SEMAC.

 

New Business

·       Motion was made by Frank Foley to appoint Rex McKenzie as alternate to the Shellfish Committee. Dan seconded the motion. Committee members Sarah Robin and Michael Anderson both voted in favor of the appointment. Motion carried unanimously.

·       Committee authorized Tony Jackett to apply for Umbrella permit to move shellfish inside the harbor. Oysters will be relocated to the West Side of the breakwater in March.

·       Suggestion was made by Tony Jackett to present an annual report to the Assembly of Delegates outlining what the committee has done and what it would like to do in the future.

·       General discussion was held. Topics included building a shellfish lab, SEMAC grant proposals and building a web site.

·       Motion was made by Dan and seconded by Michael to schedule next meeting for 4:30 p.m. March 7th. Motion carried unanimously.

·       Motion was made by Michael and seconded by Dan to adjourn meeting. Motion carried unanimously. Meeting adjourned at 5:30 p.m.
