· Frank has offered to attend
the Semac Minigrant writing meeting held on January 13th where they
will go over Minigrant submission procedure.
· He also attended the
meetings, held by Semac in conjunctions with state and private groups, that
discussed Best Management Practices for Massachusetts Shellfisherpeople. From
that meeting, he concluded that a possible minigrant topic might be to look at
some ways of creating some best management practices specifically for Provincetown.
For example, how can a responsible shellfisherperson in Provincetown dispose of
predators once they have been trapped.
Possible suggestions: fertilizers, food etc. How can we, as
shellfisherpeople, incorporate responsible environmental management into our
businesses.
