6.  Unfinished Business:

Although no unfinished business was on the agenda,  Chair, Terese Nelson, did ask the superintendent to update the committee on the progress of working on a new athletic hand book.  She indicated Lisa Colley is gathering athletic handbooks from other districts to peruse.  Also discussed noting the athletic handbook should be placed on the school website.

7.  New Business:

7.1  Dr. Pavão informed the committee of his meeting with the NEASC representative.  He stated the report is due March 2008 and he is working with the faculty to complete all the necessary documents for submission.

7.2  AYP Report was discussed by Superintendent Waugh noting math is a huge issue.

7.3  November Special Town Meeting was reviewed.  The first item was that Medicaid reimbursements are sent to the town and then deposited into the general fund.  The school no longer has any connection to the reimbursements or invoicing; therefore, the Town of Provincetown will need to write the article to create an appropriate account number for this revenue.  Sharon Lynn, Town Manager agreed this article is not the responsibility of the school department but of the town.

The committee then received a report from Superintendent Waugh that the cement stairs going down from the elementary school to the high school and Grace Hall Parking lot are in an extremely serious state of deteriorate Betty White explained to the committee she has received one estimate and will get two more in order to write an article for the STM requesting the funds to fix the problem.  The committee agreed and will review the article and formally vote on it at the next scheduled meeting.

On a roll call vote the committee went into Executive Session for purposes of Discussion with respect to Non-Union Contracts and Discussion with respect to Collective Bargaining.  The Chair announced the committee would not be returning to open session for the purpose of adjournment
