Minutes of June 16, 2005

Members Present: Terese Nelson (Chairperson), Peter Grosso (Vice Chairman), Debra Trovato, Burton Wolfman (Secretary).

Member Absent: Molly Perdue

Also in attendance: Mrs. Lachowetz, Supt. of Schools, Mr. Teso, VMES Principal/DSS, Mr. Boxer, PHS Principal, Ms. Waugh, Curriculum Coordinator, Ms. Pat Correira, MASC Field Director-Training and Development

Mrs. Nelson called the Workshop called to Order at 4:00 P.M.

Ms. Correira facilitated a slide presentation and discussion on the Roles and Responsibilities of school committee members. The committee focused its attention on mandated state and federal programs, the committee’s fiscal responsibilities, need for improved communication, and particular focus on strategic and long term planning.

The workshop adjourned 6:15 PM
