Town of Provincetown School Committee High School Annex

Minutes of January 18,2005

Members Present: Terese Nelson (Chairperson), Molly Perdue, Burton Wolfman and Peter Grosso. Absent: Debra Trovato (excused)

Also in attendance: Dr.Colette Trailor, Supt. of Schools, Edward Boxer, PHS Principal, VMES/Director of Student Services Anthony Teso, and   Betty White, Adm. Assistant Business and Finance

Others present: Finance Committee members Ruth Gilbert, Mark Leach, and Thomas Thurston

Chairperson called the meeting to order 4.05PM

Peter Grosso moved to go into executive session to discuss real property issues and leases; and to return to open session.

The motion was seconded by Molly Perdue and voted unanimously The committee returned to open session at 4:30 p.m.

The Committee then began the Public Hearing of the FY 06 School Budget.   Dr.Trailor and Mr. Teso presented and led discussion of line items of FY 06 School Budget.

At 6.00P.M. the Committee concluded the Public Hearing.

Molly Perdue moved to approve the FY-06 School Budget

Peter Grosso seconded to motion to approved the FY06 budget of $4,172,958.43.

Motion was so voted unanimously.

Burt Wolfman made the following motion:

Pending the vote of the Board of Selectmen, the school committee votes to conditionally

approve the Memorandum of Understanding between the school committee and the

Board of Selectmen regarding the disposition of the Provincetown High School Annex

with the amended item 5 reducing dollar amount from $40,000 to $20,000.

Peter Grosso seconded the motion.

The motion passed unanimously.                        -
