Recycling and Renewable Energy Committee

Previous Minutes: Ghee motioned, Amy
seconded, minutes were approved as written.
Wind Turbine Tally: It's a mandate from the
town, with about 90% yes, 5% no, and 5% undecided, though a number of them say
that it's OK if it's at the Transfer Station. Official tally will be sent
out when done.
Budget: It's official, that our
committee will receive $2000 for expenses.
Town Meeting Warrant Article:
Amy prepared this, Ghee motioned, Lee seconded, it was
approved as written.
Spring Mailing: Amy reported that Brian
Carlson, Health Department, will be sending out a spring mailing to businesses
and restaurants, and that we can piggy-back a card explaining recycling
guidelines/rules. We'll work more on this next meeting, when Brian will
be invited to attend.
Year Rounder's Festival:
It will be on Saturday, March 8th, and Amy volunteered to staff a table, Ghee
said that she'd help if she's here, not away then. Lee will arrange for
the table, and will get the "Do you know
that..?"s to Amy. Jim will bring blue
recycling bins for sale.
Earth Day: April 22nd.
Brainstorm ideas and bring them to next meeting.
WOMR: Amy will send them our meeting
schedule, which they'll put onto their calendar of events, which is read
periodically each day.
