Minutes of November 6, 2007

Members Present: Treg Kaeselau, Bronwyn Malicoat, Cass Benson, David Mazochi

Also in attendance: Tracy Trewhella, Recreation director, Brandon Motta Assistant director

Call to order: 6:07 pm

Public Comment: C. Packard regarding coaching of the 5/6 girls basketball team and also regarding programs for the school aged kids during vacations

Weight Room Planning: Bronwyn requested an update on the weight room. Mike Bois spent a great deal of time and effort securing donated equipment and they both want to ensure things are getting used and used properly. Tracy reported that the weight room is used regularly however it continues to be underutilized mostly due to the outdated equipment. David offered to meet with Mike to go over the equipment that is down there, and see what additions may also serve the community. David will also work with Mike in making sure the equipment that he aquired is set up properly and used properly.

Policy and Fees The committee reviewed the policy for use of the building along with the fee schedule. Both items had been discussed at the last meeting. Commission voted to adopt the policies and fees and review in 6 months.

David motioned, Cass seconded, unanimous decision

New Business Bob Cosanta is requesting to start and Aikido class, Bob is a nidan, or second degree blackbelt, in aikido and has trained in a multitude of dojos. He is looking to bring the art of Aikido to Provincetown for all levels of ability. He will offer anyone a first class for free, Motion to approve an Aikido program to begin December 3^rd 2007 by David, second by Cass,. Unanimous
