Minutes of September 11, 2007

Call to order: 6:05 pm

Public Comment: None at this time

Donation: Laurie Roles of the Provincetown Kickers donated $1500.00 to be used specifically for teen night. The check was given to the town manager. Motion to accept the donation made by Jill, second by Bronwyn, unanimous, Motion to deposit into Recreation Gift Fund by Treg, second by Susan unanimous, Motion to spend donation for a air hockey table for teen night by Jill, second Treg, unanimous.

Dog Park: Candace Nagle came to report the progress of the dog park and was available to the board for any questions or concerns they may have.

Summer Program: :

Went well, Tracy reported on activities and special events.

Sports Registration: One time registration form with one time fee of $50.00 that covers soccer, basketball and baseball. Tracy reported due to small numbers teams will have to be co-ed this year.

Soccer Field: Tracy raised the question to the board of researching the possibility of fake grass, discussion ensued and it was decided that Tracy will research it and report back at the next meeting.

Trash Can Contest: Jill will contact a friend to see if he will take the lead on this, and report back at the next meeting.

Skate Park: Having more trouble than ever, no helmets, misuse, lots of trash. The commission would like to close it until an attendant can be found to work.

Tournament: October 21, Tracy will get permits, and meet with Wesley Medieros.
