Directors Report:
Update on the building being
painted, with discussion of future plans for the dance room floor and weight
room
Discussion re: getting the
word out about activities through the community center, possible open house, or
blurb in the Banner
Old Business:
Mission Statement needs to
be changed. Too late to be put on
warrant for this years annual town meeting.
Commission should work on it and put it on the warrant for either the
fall or the following spring.
New Business:
4th of July
Parade: Bob Littlefield provided an update from the 4th of July task
force, and solicited help from the board. Ideas of the summer staff, national
honor society were suggested. Cass, and
Susan volunteered to marshal.
BBQ after parade is a lot of
work for the department; Tracy and other members of the task force have been
looking for a group to take this event over.
David suggested turning it into a huge event run by the rec
department. The BBQ issue will be
revisited this winter.
Garbage can project set for
March 24th all week from 10:00a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CC will provide
supplies.
Rec Commission members would
like to sit in on the interviews for the new assistant director after town
meeting is finished. The job has been
posted. Bronwyn and Susan volunteered.
