Meeting called to order 6:00 p.m.
In attendance: Members Treg Kaeselau, Robert Cahill, Susan
Cook.
Director Tracy Roderick.

2. Skateboard Competition:
Reported
as successful.
3. Membership Discussion: We need to fill board membership, two vacancies, possibly
more. Need to look at big picture and
have the board reflect a more diverse representation of the community. Discussion regarding the possibility of
having high school students as advisory members, the process was investigated
and reported. The director will follow
up with an email to the selectmen and a conversation with the principal.

5. New Business:
Building maintenance and improvements:
discussion having to do with plans of commercial kitchen, improved gym,
sewer hook up, status of shelter, use of building for events/meetings etc. Commission recognizes the need for some
fundraising in the near future to complete the needed improvements ideas were
put out for discussion, with decisions to be made at a later date.
Dance group: Dunya would like to use the space on Saturday and Sunday
2/10 and 2/11 2007. They will be
charged $250.00 for the space. Motion
to allow use: S. Cook, 2nd R Cahill, carries 3-0
Karate Class: A for profit group from Mashpee has asked to basically use
the community center to create a satellite sight for classes. Historically a
local karate organization has provided classes at minimal cost to students.
Commission uncomfortable using an unknown group and were not comfortable with
the fees the company was charging
. Motion to deny use S Cook, 2nd R
Cahill carries 3-0.
6. Minutes the minutes taken for this evenings meeting were reviewed. Motion made by R Cahill to accept, second by
S Cook. Motion carries 4-0
Motion to adjourn: R Cahill, second S Cook. Motion carries 3-0. Meeting adjourned 6:40 p.m.
