Attendance: Members Treg Kaeselau, Robert Cahill, Susan Cook. Recreation Director Dennis Clark. Shannon Patrick, Erin Barrepski, Bob Calligan, Abby Swan, Carl Osowski, Tom Osowski, Lisa Martin.

Meeting called to order at 6:30 pm

I. Public Statements

The meeting was held to hear complaints of families who felt they should be charged lower rates for the Children’s Summer Program.

Current rates are: $50.00 registration for VMES students

$50.00 per week for non-VMES students

Several parents cited situations (school choice, divorce and custody issues, etc.) where, even though their children do not attend VMES, they thought that they should be charged the VMES student rate.

Discussion centered around the high quality and relatively low cost of the summer programs, and what is fair for all involved.

MOTION: That school choice children be charged the VMES rate, and that other situations be reviewed case by case.

Second: Cook

Vote: 3-0 Yes
