Provincetown Recreation Commission

In attendance: Susan Cook, Jill Macara, Candy Silva, Robert Cahill, Dawn Henrique, Treg Kaeselau, Dennis Clark Director,

Meeting called to order 6:43

Public Comments: none at this time

Skate Park Update:

There is a question that the VSB grant money may no longer be available, discussion ensued.

Soccer Field:

The Commission questioned why the soccer field is still not being used. The director reported that it still needs an irrigation system and to be reseeded. Discussion re: whether it should be being used in its present condition or not took place. Motion to use in its present condition was made by Mr. Kaeselau, seconded by Mr.Cahill. Motion does not carry 3-2

CPA Disscussion:

Ms. Cook is unable at this time to represent the Commission on the CPA, no one else volunteered, so presently the Recreation Commission will have no representation to the CPA.

Old Business:

Ms. Macara will report at the next meeting re; her conversations with Fred Long re: Ben Buffa and his fundraising tactics.

New Business:
Fundraising: does the commission want to hold another BBQ dinner at the Lobster pot. Decision tabled until the next meeting.

NO meeting scheduled for October, unless issues arise.
