Recreation Commission Meeting Minutes 9/17/03

6:30 Meeting called to order by Candy Silva.

Members Present: Candy Silva, Jill Macara, Robert Cahill, Treg Kasealaw,

Dawn Henrique and Dennis Clark.

I. Public Statement: None at this time.

II. New Business: Discussed the purchase of Skate park equipment to be ordered

by 9/23/03. We raised $27,000 through fundraising, $50,000 given at Town

Meeting giving us a total of $77,000. Our expenses are $54,000 towards laying

the cement and installation of fence. We have $33,000 for the purchase of

Skate park equipment. We discussed other fundraising ideas and will continue to

work on getting more donations.

III. Old Business: Jill will talk to Joy Reis about putting the items they have

On Ebay. Dennis will talk to Joy McNulty about having another dinner to

Raise money for skate park. We will be discussing Teen Night at our next

Meeting.
