Recreation Commission Meeting Minutes 5/13/03

6:30 Meeting called to order by Candy Silva

Members present: Robert Cahill, Dawn Henrique, Treg Kaesilau,

Jill Macara, Candy Silva, and Dennis Clark.

I. Public statements: Ben Buffa attended the meeting and will begin

Fundraising for the skate park. He will send out 200 letters per week. Ben will be in town on Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Friday’s from 9:30-11:00 if we need to reach him. He suggested

Other fundraising ideas and will give more information at our next meeting.

II. New Business:

Dennis met with Engineers; need a new plan for the skate park to work around the wells located on the park area. He also met with David Gurtin for a tentative date of removal of wastewater equipment stored on skate park site.

III. The deadline for applicants for the Recreation assistant position is

May 22^nd. We will begin interviews on May26th at 4:00.
