Recreation Commission Meeting Minutes 09/10/02

6:40 Meeting called to order by Jill Macara

Members Present: Jill Macara, Robert Cahill, Dawn Henrique, Treg Kaeselau, Candy Silva, And Dennis Clark.

I. Public Statements: None at this time.

II. New Business:

Have to work on a capitol plan for October 15 meeting.

Fundraising ideas: Letters will be sent to town businesses and skate park

Companies asking for donations. A raffle will be held sometime late November

early December. Everyone will start to collect items. Candy will work on

making tickets. We discussed looking into grants maybe ask Michelle if she

could look into any that may be possible. Dennis will talk to Joy McNulty about

having a dinner at the Lobster Pot.

Children or anyone interested will be invited to the center September 24 to help

choose equipment for the new skate park.

III Old business:

Soccer field review, plans are going as scheduled.

Teen night will begin the end of October. Our annual Halloween dance and

Parade will be held this year. Dennis will check with the Library on time change

of parade to allow Truro children time to arrive and participate.
