Meeting Minutes of Thursday March 13, 2008

 

Members present:     Len Clingham (Chair), George Hitchcock, Kerry Adams, Lee Ash and Phil Tarvers

 

Other Attendees: Rex McKinsey (Pier Manager/Harbormaster) and John Davidson (PPPC Administrative Assistant)

 

The meeting was called to order at 4:05 pm by the chair.

A/R Terms Changes for Commercial Fisherman

 

Tenant Commercial Fishing Vessels Dockage Fees 90 Days with balance due by September 30th of the current year.

 

This replaces the current terms of 90 days with the total due by March 30th of the current year.

Directors Statements

 

George Hitchcock: Concerned with the transfer of the 2 float spaces to a current float owner.  Wave attenuation using tires.

 

Lee Ash: Very happy about the new sub-tenant on 8W.  Report to the BoS on Monday 3/10/8 was a good one.

 

Kerry Adams: None

 

Phil Tarvers: Has same concerns in regards to the transfer of the float spaces.

 

Rex McKinsey: In 1975 there was a bylaw prohibiting one person from owning more than 1 float space license.  In the mid 80’s the by-law was changed and that wording was dropped

 

George Hitchcock: Would like to see a change in the grandfathering of the floats.

A motion was made to allow each individual float owner 1 recreation boat spot for either their boat or one recreation sub-tenant.
