Directors Statement

George Hitchcock: Banner article on Bill to preserve working waterfronts.  This is something that we should keep an eye on for future advantages to Provincetown.

Lee Ash:  Had a good lengthy discussion with Michele Couture.  Referred to Candace Nagle’s editorial in the Banner and our Chapter 91 requirements and limitations.

Kerry Adams: Referred to Banner article on Chico Jess and the factual errors.  Would hope that a correction may be coming.  Received a telephone call from John Cilutzi in regards to the sale of Cabral’s Pier.  An outside offer has been made.  John Cilutzi felt that the town did not show enough interest in purchasing the pier.

Len Clingham:  Publicly acknowledge our staff for rescuing the women who fell off the breakwater and to place an acknowledgment into their personnel files.

A motion was made to write letters of commendation to Luis and Scott for their admirable performance in the rescue.

Beach Rake Demonstration

Chico Jess: USCG for the first few days handled the environmental details. Diver found most vents had already been plugged, bagged or taped which means someone went aboard before the sinking and prepared the boat.

Lee Ash: At last meeting w/Chico he said that the boat was secured.

Harbormaster on 11/1/07 told Chico that he was to present a plan to raise the boat by 11/5/07.  He has not yet responded with a plan.  An enforcement letter is being sent out.

Len Clingham: Asked that Rex send email updates to the PPPC Board on the Chico Jess.
