Public Statements

 

David Dutra: Here to voice his concern about other boats at the pier not paying their bills.  Provided instructions on what to do with the F/V Chico Jess.  HM has authority to remove vessel.  Speaking on behalf of men who have paid their bills for dockage.

Ed MacDonald: Does the PPPC have any ideas at this time?

 

Len Clingham: Yes, we have a business plan, and we see SCORE as a resource.  Particularly for the small businesses that may have an interest in stating a business on the pier.

 

Phil Tarvers: Would a survey of possible business for our pier be in your realm?

 

Ed MacDonald: SCORE does not do marketing research per se.  But the PPPC can bring them a list of ideas that they will help us with.

 

George Hitchcock: We will put together a list of ideas for SCORE.

 

Len Clingham: Thanked the SCORE representatives for the presentation and that the PPPC will definitely utilize SCORE.

 

 

2008 Rate Discussion

 

David Flower presented request for an Event Rate discussion.

A motion was made to have a hearing on rate changes for events as soon as possible.

A motion was made to adopt a 2 tier fee schedule, $5000 per event for large, $1000 for small events.

A motion was made to increase the transient recreational vessel dockage rate from $2 per foot to $3 per foot.
