Lee Ash: Met w/ Rex over coffee to discuss a few items. Thanked Rex for use of pier to berth a boat. Apologized for leaving the last meeting early.
Len Clingham: No apology necessary.
Kerry Adams: Noticed that the skateboarding is getting out of hand. Asked that we keep it to a minimum.
Len Clingham: Does the town have a skate boarding policy? Rex McKinsey to check into town by-laws. Request Pru Sowers of the banner to do a story.
Kerry Adams (Dir statement cont): parking next to west float booths is getting out of hand and needs to be curtailed.
Phil Tarvers: Town by-law says that you can’t put your goods out side of your business without special permits. The bait shop looks like a flea market. If this is not curtailed it will spread to the other booths.
Discussion
Rex McKinsey to discuss/send letter to tenants with the board’s concerns in regards to the West Float booths and the parking issues.
Phil Tarvers: (Dir statement cont): Do we have any contracts with provicnetowncam.com? Because it links you to porno sites.
Rex McKinsey: No we do not.
Len Clingham: Rex needs to address this issue w/Jules Popko and will report back via email.
Phil Tarvers (Dir statements cont): preliminary meeting w/ town manager and started discussions regarding the PPPC doing our own bookkeeping. Town manager and Alix (Director of Finance) seemed to be aware that there is a doubling up on things. Future meetings to be held.
Len Clingham: Nothing to add.
Kerry Adams: Why are 2 vessels, that are in arrears , why they are still allowed to take up space on the pier?
Rex McKinsey: Lien on boats, capias for Mark Gonsalves, small claims court.
Discussion
Phil Tarvers: Rex McKinsey to get an agreement from Mark Gonsalves to pay at time of sale.
Len Clingham: If someone was waiting for the space on the pier that would be one thing. To get them out and just have empty space takes away from the ambiance of the pier.
Phil Tarvers: Find the value of the permits.
Len Clingham: Continue this topic for two weeks.
Discussion
General board consensus that this is not the type of business activity that we want to promote or allow.
