Directors Statements

George Hitchcock:  Noticed that the Incident Command Post not centered on the building.  The plywood and lumber has been left uncovered.  Heard from Kevin Foley and was told that he fee for 10W it would be $10k to $12k.

Lee Ash:  Met with Dana Pazolt, a tenant of the pier, who reiterated a couple of issues in regards to flag pole location, safety issues and ladders.  All issues have been addressed by the pier manager.

George Hitchcock: Where is the flagpole going?

Rex McKinsey: Two locations are being considered.  Outside of the harbormasters office or by the pavilion.

George Hitchcock:  Would like to see it at the harbormasters office.

Kerry Adams:  The building is coming along fine.  In the process for the installation of the cupola who is paying for all the heat going out through the roof?  General maintenance issue with the cleanliness of the work site.

George Hitchcock:  Would like to see a hatch for the turret.

Len Clingham: Nothing to add other than being excited about the parade.  Requested that the legal counsel opinion on 10W agenda item be next out of order.

Rex McKinsey:  Provided detail explanation of the decision provided in the minutes.

General Discussion

Len Clingham: Requested that the pier manager come back with a recommendation for a rate on 10W to the board.

Accessory Use Sub-Committee Report.

Findings of subcommittee presented to the board by Lee Ash.

An RFP would be issued for this program with the specifics spelled out.  Shed placement would be 2 at the north end of pier and 1 at 10W.  Usage for the 2 sheds at the approach would be limited to artisans/crafts.

George Hitchcock:  On 10W Sandy Silva was to have half of the shed.  Does not agree with the lottery.  Would like to see a sub-committee or jury make the selection.

Kerry Adams:  Does not disagree with George Hitchcock on Sandy Silva’s request for a shed.  In regards to the lottery we would rely on support from an artist committee.

Len Clingham: Would like to move forward with the RFP.  Further discussion will be needed on the decision making process.

A motion was made to accept the report and move forward with the creation of an RFP by the sub-committee.
