Celine Gandolfo entered meeting and reported on ideas for Shankpainter
management Plan
Gordon Peabody is going to send a list of priority projects via e-mail
to
keith Bergman tonight--immediate protection (mitigation) of the topsoil
and
roots exposed by the cut when the road was put in at Shankpainter.
Discussion around table regarding draft of the score sheet
Public asked for comments--none at this time
Celine received contents of material she brought re: possible future
project. First step is to inventory the property re: species and she's
been
able to get Mario Digregorio to go ahead and get it done with a donation.
A
very important tool for grants and other funding. Gordon pointed out
that
this committee can't hire anyone to do such a project. Celine said
it
possibly could be done by the Provincetown Conservation Trust.
Need to put together a brochure to hand to property owners regarding
their
options of selling and/or donating their land to the town.
General discussion about letter regarding exploring options through
the
Landbank Committee of land that might be available for purchase.
Our Job, as a recommended body, will be to put together a proposal that
goes to town management.
Celine, Gordon moved to ask Mark Robinson, Director of the Compact of
Cape
Cod Conservation Trust to attend the next meeting on November 23rd
to be a
resource in meeting with a principal. 4 aye 0 nay 1 abstain
7:45 Gordon turned the meeting over to Hatty Fitts to Chair as he had
to go
to the Comprehensive Plan Meeting next door.
Annie Lord gave a report on the process she was involved in regarding
a
long-time held property in another part of Massachusetts being sold
for
Conservation
