Open Space Meeting 6/3/99

at 5:00PM All present: Gordon Peabody, Barbara Sullivan, Fred Berger Hatty Walker Fitts, Robin Evans, Stephan Nofield Chair of meeting

Stephan went through the materials handed out. Gordon brought up the

problem of everyone having the same expiration date.

Have to post meetings 48 hours any time there are three or more who get

together. (except for fact-finding tours)

Need to establish secretary (clerk). All notes taken are immediately public

record.

Set next agenda when closing meeting.

Meet in three weeks

Hatty Walker Fitts is temporary Clerk/ see appointed committee handbook

Need to know of informed absences

Gordon is interim Chair for next two meetings. Barbara motioned..Robin

2nd..all aye.

Gordon suggested Public Comments at each meeting--very important to be

visible and accessible

Next meeting will be 6:00PM 6/29/99

Gordon will put together an agenda on the 21st to give a week to review

materials. Call him if you have anything that you want to have included.

Other subjects brought up:

wants to reflect town wishes in our actions, not to be overly influenced by

what other towns do.

Barbara will check with other Town Open Space Committees to see how they

have been working.
