Minutes of January 5, 2001 Open Space Committee

Celine Gandolfo,anuary 5, 2001 was called to order at 2:45 PM by

Co-Chair. Also present were Robin Evans, Hatty Walker Fitts, and

Fred Berger.

Celine reported that 87% of the monies needed for the purchase of

the Locke property had been raised to date.

Committee Tasks:

1.) After a discussion regarding who does what regarding the

minutes of the committee, it was agreed that Hatty Fitts would

a.)Robin Evans agreed to write up a form thank you letter for

those who have donated money to the purchase fund.

b.) It was agreed that another mailing should go

out to the business

community, updating the cover letter.

c.) It was agreed that the committee members

would ask some of the local

chain operators directly for contacts to try to

get donations from the parent

Other Business: company.

1.) It was agreed that the committee would look at what lands

might be available for

selling and/or gifting same.act owners as to their interest in

3.) Celine Gandolfo will write the selectman about their offer

clean up Clapps Pond.

4.) Robin Evans agreed to write up the Annual Town Report (due
