Minutes for March 23, 2000

The
Meeting of March 23, 2000 was called to order at 7:25PM by Celine Gandolpho,
Co-Chair. Also present were Robin
Evans, Hatty Walker Fitts and Fred Berger. Absent was Barbara Sullivan.
Approval
of Minutes:
A motion was made by Robin Evans,
seconded by Fred Berger, to approve the following Minutes of: January 25, 2000; February 10, 2000;
February 24, 2000; February 29, 2000; and March 3, 2000. Motion passed 4-0-0.
Motion
to Re-affirm support of Warrant Articles:
A motion was made by Robin Evans,
seconded by Celine Gandolpho, to re-affirm the Articles 19 and 20 of the
Special Town Meeting Warrant; and for Article 19 of the Regular Town Meetings. Motion
passed 4-0-0.
Discussion
about Voter Information brochure:
There was general discussion about
the format and content of a proposed brochure giving information as to the
Locke Property and why it would be a benefit to the Town. This will be mailed to all registered
voters.
Public
Comment:
A member of the public, Heather
Wishik, asked the committee to do whatever was appropriate to help preserve the
property along Snail Road owned by the Sateriales, which was now on the market.
Motion
re. Sateriale Property:
A motion was made by Robin Evans,
seconded by Celine Gandolpho, to ask the Town Manager, Keith Bergman, to take
whatever steps are necessary to refer the Sateriale property that is for sale
on Snail Road to the Cape Cod Commission. Motion passed 4-0-0.
Shank
Painter Management Plan:
Celine read some minor corrections to
the Shank Painter Pond Wildlife Sanctuary Management Plan that were written by
Mark Robinson. The corrections were in
answer to some concerns that were voiced by the Selectmen at their March 13th
meeting, and will be discussed by them at their meeting of Monday, March 27,
2000. The consensus of the Committee
was that the corrections did help clarify some of the language, and were
appropriate.
