Minutes for January 25, 2000

The Meeting of March 23, 2000 was called to order at 7:05PM by Celine Gandolpho, Co-Chair.  Also present were Fred Berger , Robin Evans and Barbara Sullivan. Absent was Hatty Walker Fitts, who was out of town.

 

1.Minutes:

            Barbara Sullivan made a motion to approve the minutes. Fred Berger seconded.  The motion passed 4-0-0.

 

2.     Public Statements:

            There were none.

 

3.     Locke Property:

            Barbara Sullivan made a motion to go into Executive Session to discuss the Locke Property with Mr. Locke.  Fred Berger seconded. The motion passed 4-0-0.

 

            Regular Meeting Resumed.

 

4.     Acquisition Discussion:

a)     Robin Evans reported that she is making up a list of all the open land in town, with the help of the assessors office.

b)     The Committee will place an ad in the paper to tell the community of available options through the Open Space Committee.

c)     Barbara Sullivan will re-write the property ranking sheet.

d)     Celine Gandolpho will call Mark Robinson, of the Compact of Cape Cod Conservation Trusts, and Ken Learned re. the preliminary agreement on the Locke Property.

e)     Celine Gandolpho will go to Ken Learned re. ad for paper.

 

5.     Shankpainter Management Plan Update:

            a)   The plan has been electronically copied to other committees.

b)     The response deadline is February 15, 2000.

c)     The Hearing for the draft of the Management Plan will be February 15, 2000.

 

6.     Other Business:

a)     The next meeting will be a Working Session on February 1, 2000 at 7:00PM.

b)     Addressed affordable housing issue.  There has been no further movement to date re. the use of Land Bank Fund monies for affordable housing.  Barbara Sullivan, as Chairman of the Affordable Housing Committee, reviewed the progress of housing in town and many initiations underway.

 

7.     Adjournment:

            The meeting was adjourned at 9:00PM with a vote of 4-0-0.
