David Gardner informed the committee that the map that we generated and sent to the Cape Cod Commission for their initiative had not yet been returned; once it has, we must have a public meeting with the Planning Board “to customize our thresholds” and tailor criteria for Cape Cod Commission review, which would allow us to condition easements and Open Space requirements.
There was a discussion of the status of Land Bank funds and the recent proposal to end this source of funding. It was resolved that the Open Space Committee write a letter to the Board of Selectman to explain our perspective.
There was also a discussion about various properties to acquire for Open Space purposes.
