Minutes of the Open Space Committee October 18, 2007

Attending: Celine Gandolfo, Stephen Milkewicz, and Dennis Minsky (recorder)

The following protocol for land acquisition in town was discussed:

1) Establish which properties we want to acquire, based on habitat value, proximity to greenways, threat of development, and balance between East and West ends of town.

2) Perform a solid appraisal of these properties (seek professional assistance: perhaps Lincoln Sharpless could help or advise us)

3) Develop an action plan

4) Actively promote and develop alliances (Historical, Housing, etc.), advertise, hold public meetings – all in preparation for the Spring Town Meeting.
