OPEN SPACE COMMITTEE MEETING

Meeting called to order 3:10PM

Old Business:

Discussion with Town Manager and staff:

Snow property - no clear title, thus requires title search for town

purchase.

No appreciable uplands to accommodate septic system for affordable housing.

Keith to ask Town Counsel to approach Snow lawyer about title. (lawyer claims clear title by court decree)

Wells property

Again no clear title, thus necessitating title search before acquisition. Discussed possibility of placing article on warrant asking for town's purchase contingent on title search for amount seller is asking.

Additional properties explored:

Kurtis

Beede

Both abut conservation land and are contiguous to Greenway. Celine to follow up on these two possibilities.

Vote to support Community Preservation Act initiated by Robin,

seconded by Celine. Vote unanimous.
