MEETING MINUTES OF April 3, 2002 7:00 P.M.

1. Public Statements: Capital Campaign Committee Member Margaret
Bergman congratulated the Trustees on securing the State Grant.
2. Minutes: No minutes were approved.
3. Director's Report: The Library Director reported that the
Town Manager, as per the Town Charter, wanted the Town Building Committee to be
used for the Design Development Stage.
The Town Manager and DPW Director David Guertin also would like to hire
the services of Daedalus for project management. Marcia Fair requested more information on Daedalus, in
particular, a portfolio listing their qualifications and experience. A Scope of Services is also needed. Because of vacations, the Library Trustees
suggested meeting with the Building Committee on Tuesday, April 23.
4. Chairmans
Report: Jim
Cole congratulated the Trustees on their hard work in securing the State
grant. Marcia Fair made a motion to
send the attached Letter to the Editor to the Banner thanking the Town for
their support. Arthur Pike
seconded. All voted in favor
(4-0-0). Beth ORourke is interested in
taking minutes for the Trustees, so Marcia Fair suggested that the Trustees
invite Beth ORourke to the next meeting.
The Trustees agreed.
5. Other Business: Arthur Pike mentioned
Legislative Day in Boston on April 10.
Both he and the Library Director will attend to thank legislators for
the funding and to explain its importance to libraries.
The meeting adjourned
at 7:15 P.M.
