Meeting called to order by Chair AJ Alon at 9:00 AM in downstairs meeting room of Grace Goveia Building, 25 Alden Street, Provincetown. Present: PLHP members AJ Alon, Scott Campbell, Tim Hazel, Michael Bunn; DRM Director Judith Oset. Public present: Ken Barge, appointee designate.
J. Oset presented plan for streamlining application process and procedures for reviewing and awarding Affordable Housing Building Permits. Committee was in consensus to ideas – J. Oset to mail draft copies in two weeks.
J. Oset answered questions from PLHP re: legal issues, 2001 Annual Town Meeting Articles and Growth Management Bylaw. PLHP agreed to schedule work session w/ Town Counsel as soon as possible.
Chair AJ Alon then opened the Regular Meeting of PLHP at 10:00 AM
Public Statements: None
Sanjo Realty Trust: Rachel Crosby discussed issues/concerns re: affordability of condominiums being built at Captain Bertie’s Way, Provincetown, specifically condo fees and the methodology to determine such. PLHP agreed to research concerns further, and to put the matter on the next Regular PLHP meeting.
Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod: HHCC President Donald Dickinson presented revised plans for the two (2) family home to be built at 5 Fritz’s Way, Provincetown. Mr. Dickinson had taken suggestions / concerns expressed at previous PHLP meeting and had incorporated these into the revised plans. The revised plans show a “mirror” layout of the abutting units and the addition of windows.
Motion:
AJ ALON moved to accept revised plans as submitted by Habitat for Humanity of
Cape Cod. Further, to award Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod TWO (2) Affordable
Housing Building Permits. Seconded by M. Bunn.
Motion
approved. Four in favor, none opposed. M. Bunn to draft award letter.
Old Business:
1. Membership: Motion by AJ ALON to recommend KEN BARGE to Board of Selectmen as Alternate Member of the Provincetown Local Housing Partnership. Seconded by T. HAZEL.
Motion approved. Four in favor, none opposed. M. Bunn to draft letter to PT BOS.

2001 Annual Town Meeting Articles: M. Bunn gave an
overview of proposed ATM articles requested by PHLP. Due to lack of time and
depth and breadth of this topic, it was agreed to set a work session, dedicated
solely to ATM Articles.
