November 16, 2000 Meeting Minutes

PLHP members present: Michael Bunn, Tim Hazel, Scott Campbell, Arturo Alon

Others present: Kenny Barge, Ted Malone, Mindy Baranski

Meeting brought to order at 9:05am.

After a brief discussion it was agreed that the PLHP would meet at 9am on the second Thursday of every month at the Grace Goveia building.

New Membership: Although not present, Cindy Bowes was unanimously voted in as a member of the PLHP. Kenney Barge sat in on meeting to learn more about possibly becoming a member of the PLHP. Michael Bunn gave a brief overview of the PLHP’s history and activities to date.

Election of Officers: Arturo Alon elected as Chairman

Scott Campbell elected as Vice-Chairman

Election of Clerk tabled until next meeting

Brief discussion of current Affordable projects and their status….

Presentation and discussion from Ted Malone regarding the Local Comprehensive Plan and the PLHP’s role in implementing said plan. Further discussion regarding Growth Management Bylaw and it’s effects on the creation of affordable housing. Tentatively arranged for a formal meeting between the PLHP and the Local Comprehensive Plan – implementation committee for November 27^th, or November 29^th, 2000, at 4pm.

Meeting adjourned at 10:25am.
